Prerequisites

Before using Notification Designer, ensure the following conditions are met:

  • User Role: The user must have the Application Designer role.
  • Navigation: Access the tool via Design Studio > Module > Designers.
  • Configuration Context: A Domain, Sub-Domain, and Tenant must be selected to initialize the designer.

Configuration Flow

Building a notification template follows a standard four-step workflow:

  1. General Characteristics: Define the notification’s name and description.
  2. Medium Selection: Choose the communication channels (Email, SMS, MS Teams).
  3. Design Template: Construct the template using drag-and-drop elements and data table selection.
  4. Summary: Review the final configuration before saving.

Scenario: NovaTech IT Solutions needs to automatically notify both the Requestor and the Approver when a Service Request (SR) is approved.

Requirements:

  • Dynamic inclusion of the Service Request ID.
  • Display of the full Communication Log.
  • Structured Approval Details grid.
  • Professional Signature at the end.

Implementation: The Application Designer selects the Email medium, chooses the relevant data table, and uses the Approval Grid and Signature elements to satisfy these requirements.
